Too Few Do

“If the only prayer you ever say in your entire life is ‘thank you,’ it will be enough.”
—Meister Eckhart

Eckhart von Hochheim OP (c1260–c1328), commonly known as Meister Eckhart or Eckehart, was a German theologian, philosopher, and mystic, born near Gotha in the Landgraviate of Thuringia (now central Germany) in the Holy Roman Empire. Eckhart as a preaching friar attempted to guide his flock, as well as monks and nuns under his jurisdiction, with practical sermons on spiritual/psychological transformation and New Testament metaphorical content related to the creative power inherent in disinterest (dispassion or detachment).
