Freddie Mercury was very ill when this was filmed: he died 6 months later. And who was he speaking to? I believe it was Mary Austin. “The only friend I’ve got is Mary, and I don’t want anybody else,” he once said. “To me, she was my common-law wife. To me, it was a marriage.” He left his house and royalties to her.
